[texts]Ruination in MRR - Equalizing-X-Distort
Ruination were a bit of an international super group or certainly a North American super group. The band featured Chris Colohon from the Swarm/Cursed fame and Mike Haliechuk who went on to play in Fucked Up. The band also featured Andy Dempsz of Bloodpact/Earthmover fame and Ebro of Charles Bronson/Los Crudos fame. That's a lot of fame. This interview was conducted at a Tragedy show on December 19, 2000 and was printed in the May 2001 issue of MRR...

[texts]Lengua Armada Records profile in MRR
This is a piece I pulled together on Martin Sorrendeguy who does Lengua Armada Records. Martin was based out of Chicago and so there were a lot of Chicago bands on his label. Now he lives in California and so releases reflect the change in local. Great undergroudn hardcore punk record label.

[texts]Nomeansno in MRR - MRR
There was some kind of ban on Nomeansno that went back to Tim's fight with Jello. Nomeansno were on Alternative Tentacles which was Jello's label so as a consequence MRR has never doen an interview with the band. And Nomeasno have done loads so it seems weird. This interview isn't an in depth one but it does capture the band at a period of time. the interview was done in Chicago at the Fireside Bowl and appeared in the April 2001 edition of MRR (#215)...

[texts]EXD-Volume 2-Issue 6 - Equalizing-X-Distort
Destined For Asssimilation (DFA) had come through town from Saskatoon. This was excited because a new label at the time, Ugly Pop, had just released a 12" by the band. It was ferocious unleashing the spirit of crossover legends of the past like the Accused and beyond Possession. And the band played upstairs instead of Studio 3 downstairs. This issue also contains reviews and show listings from back in July 2002.

[texts]625 Productions profile in MRR - Equalizing-x-Distort
I had done a couple of record label profiles for MRR by this point. I loved 625 Productions and every release Max had ever put out. He wanted to get a profile in for MRR. I think the folks at MRR were bugging him for one. So we joined forces and started compiling Max's thoughts on his discographies, re-issues and brand of fast core inspired hardcore. This interview came out in issue #237, which came out in February 2003...
